Charlotte traffic: Wreck backs up I-85 northbound near Sam Wilson Road
A wreck backed up traffic on Interstate 85 northbound near the Sam Wilson Road exit on Tuesday morning.
The driver of a pickup was pinned in and had to be freed out the passenger side by emergency crews .
The driver was taken to the hospital but appeared to have only minor injuries.
Police also are at wrecks with injuries in the 500 block of Kentberry Drive in west Charlotte and the 6800 block of Monroe Road.
Other wrecks in the 8 a.m. hour have been reported on Sunset Road at Milhaven Lane, on University City Boulevard at North Tryon Street, on West Woodlawn Road at Nations Crossing Road and on Johnston Road at Marvin Road.
