1st boater safety course of 2016 set for Feb. 27 in Huntersville
With boating season just a couple of months away, now may be the ideal time to take the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s boater safety class.
Flotilla 26-01 on Lake Norman will offer its first course of the year 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 27 at the North Mecklenburg Rescue Squad, 15503 N. Old Statesville Road in Huntersville. Register from 8:30-9 a.m.
Cost is $45, and lunch will be served. Make checks payable to USCGA 26-01.
Bring a passport photo for your ID, which will be provided upon completion of the course.
All adults under age 26 who intend to operate a vessel must take and pass the course.
