Showers likely moving into the Charlotte area Monday
Rain and showers are in the forecast through midweek, accompanied by mild daytime temperatures.
The chance for rain is 50 percent Monday, with patchy fog likely early and showers possible after 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The high is expected to be near 60 degrees and the low around 45. The chance for showers increases to 80 percent Monday night, with precipitation most likely after 8 p.m.
Between a one-fourth and one-half inch of rain is expected Tuesday, which is expected to be cooler with a high near 48 and a low around 46.
Wednesday is likely to be just as wet and also windy. The chance for rain remains at 80 percent, with the high expected to climb to 66 and the low around 41.
The clouds are expected to move out before Thursday, when the forecast calls for a mostly sunny sky, a high near 51 and a low around 31.
Sunshine is expected to continue through the weekend, with high temperatures in the 50s most days and lows in the 30s.
