Charlotte traffic: Truck overturns at ramp from Brookshire to I-485 Outer Loop
A tractor-trailer overturned Friday morning and spilled 20,000 pounds of gypsum at the ramp from Brookshire Boulevard to Interstate 485 Outer Loop in north Charlotte, the State Highway Patrol said.
The ramp reopened about 8:10 a.m.
The driver wrecked while turning right off Brookshire (N.C. 16 South) onto the entrance ramp to Interstate 485, a trooper at the scene said. The driver was not seriously injured.
Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral used to make plaster, blackboard chalk and wallboard.
