Firefighters battle fire at Circle K on North Graham Street

Firefighters battled a fire at the Circle K convenience store in the 700 block of North Graham Street Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported about 12:30 p.m. Flames and thick black smoke were seen coming from the store, which is on the edge of uptown Charlotte.

Twenty-three firefighters controlled the blaze in 35 minutes, Charlotte fire Capt. Jackie Gilmore said.

The cause is under investigation, Gilmore said. No one was injured.
