Strong thunderstorms expected late Tuesday
Strong thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are possible across the Charlotte region Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Clouds are expected to increase throughout the day, with an unseasonable high of 69 expected.
The normal high for March 1 is 58 degrees.
Showers are likely between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The chance of rain is 70 percent.
Winds could gust as high as 25 mph Tuesday night.
Sunshine should return Wednesday, although it will turn colder. A high of only 54 is forecast.
Showers are likely again Thursday night, while partly sunny skies and a high of 53 are called for Friday.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday should be mostly sunny, with highs climbing again to a respective 55, 61 and 64.
