WBTV meteorologist Al Conklin with The Charlotte Observer weather forecast for March 10, 2016.

Temperatures should remain way above normal in the Charlotte region Thursday and Friday under increasingly cloudy skies.

Highs could reach 76 Thursday and 78 Friday, well above the normal high of 61.

Highs are expected to “cool” to 70 Saturday and Sunday with a chance of rain moving into the region.

The chance of showers is forecast to increase to a still-slim 30 percent by Friday night and remain at 30 percent through Saturday night.

The chance then increases to 50 percent Sunday, before dropping to 40 percent Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

Highs are expected to climb right back up, however, to 74 Monday, 76 Tuesday and 79 Wednesday.

Monday should remain cloudy, with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms, before skies clear Tuesday and Wednesday.
