Five injured after CATS bus collides with SUV on Wilkinson Boulevard
Five people were hurt, two with potentially life-threatening injuries, after a CATS bus collided with an SUV Friday night near uptown.
The crash took place on Wilkinson Boulevard near West Morehead Street about 8 p.m. All of those injured, including the driver, were treated by Medic and taken to Carolinas Medical Center. Four of the injured were believed to be the bus and one in the SUV, Medic said.
The bus provided service to and from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, authorities said.
Details are still sketchy. Investigators didn’t know yet what caused the collision.
