Charlotte traffic: Disabled vehicle blocking I-85 southbound lane

A disabled vehicle is blocking the center lane of Interstate 85 southbound near the Mallard Creek Church Road exit in Charlotte.

At 9 a.m., police also were at an injury wreck on Lakeside Drive at Providence Road, a wreck on Monroe Road at North Wendover Road and a hit-and-run wreck on Pineville-Matthews Road at Carmel ROad.

Earlier, police responded to a wreck that closed a lane on Interstate 77 southbound at Exit 25, Sam Furr Road, in Huntersville.

An injury wreck was reported on Billy Graham Parkway at Morris Field Drive and another wreck on Billy Graham, at Boyer Street.

Police also responded to a hit-and-run wreck on Central Avenue at Eastcrest Drive, on West W.T. Harris Boulevard at Old Statesville Road, on East Independence Boulevard at Briar Creek Road and on Seventy Seven Center Drive at Tyvola Road. Some of those wrecks have been cleared.

Huntersville police were at an injury wreck on Statesville Road at Hambright Road. That wreck also has been cleared.

Davidson police responded to a wreck on Davidson-Concord Road at Summers Walk Boulevard.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police also responded to wrecks on Sardis Road at Livingston Drive, on Steele Creek Road at Westinghouse Boulevard and on Pineville-Matthews Road at Elm Lane.

A hit-and-run occurred on Central Avenue at Crystal Road. That wreck has been cleared.

All lanes of Interstate 85 southbound near Concord Mills Boulevard reopened about 4:30 a.m. after a person was hit on the highway a couple of hours earlier. The State Highway Patrol has not released the name or condition of the person.
