After a freeze warning early Tuesday, warmer weather is expected over the next few days in the Charlotte region.
The freeze warning remains in effect for most of the region until 9 a.m.
Tuesday, however, should end up sunny with a high of 66, nearly 10 degrees warmer than Monday’s high.
And the weather will likely warm even more this week, with forecast highs of 75 Wednesday and 76 Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Showers are likely Thursday night, which could drop temperatures a bit. Friday’s expected high of 68 under mostly sunny skies would still be a few degrees above normal, however.
Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high of 66.
Clouds are expected to return Saturday night and stay through at least Monday.
Saturday night and Sunday have a 30 percent chance of rain, Sunday night a 50 percent chance of showers and Monday a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Highs are expected to climb to 68 Sunday and 71 Monday.
