Mostly pleasant weather Thursday, then rain forecast for Charlotte area

The Charlotte area can expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 77 Thursday, before rain is forecast to move in overnight.

While Thursday should be mostly pleasant, some areas could see wind gusts as high as 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

Friday has a 40 percent chance of showers, with a high about 75. The normal high is about 10 degrees cooler for March 25.

Any rain should clear from the region by Friday night, and Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high near 67.

Sunday is expected to climb back up to 70, although showers are likely to return at night.

Monday has a 50 percent chance of showers with a high near 73. Tuesday and Wednesday should be sunny, with respective highs of 66 and 68.
