Showers are likely in the Charlotte area on Easter, with thunderstorms possible after 4 p.m.
“There’s a good chance of rain throughout the day,” said Scott Krentz, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
Rain chances stand at 50 percent at daybreak and 55 percent at 10 a.m., Krentz said. The overall chance of rain throughout the day is 60 percent, according to the latest NWS forecast, with patchy fog mixed in from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Showers are even more likely Sunday night, when the chance stands at 70 percent.
Sunday should reach a seasonable high of 65.
The chance of rain drops to a slim 30 percent on Monday, with all sunshine forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs are expected to bounce around from 76 Monday to 66 Tuesday, 70 Wednesday, 72 Thursday and 71 Friday.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely again Thursday and Friday.
