Train smashes car in Gastonia wreck
A car was mangled after it was struck by a train on East Airline Avenue in Gastonia early Wednesday and then dragged nearly a quarter of a mile.
Police said the car had a flat tire on the tracks, and the driver got out for help.
No one was injured.
