8 injured in collision on Independence Boulevard
Eight people were injured in a wreck that occurred around 1 p.m. on outbound Independence Boulevard near Briar Creek Road.
The collision slowed travel through the area for about an hour, according to N.C. Department of Transportation.
The victims suffered minor injuries, according to Medic. They were treated at Carolinas Medical Center.
