Sunshine Monday, rain likely Tuesday

We’ll start the week with sunshine and temperatures warm enough to lure you outside, but rain is also likely early in the week.

The forecast for Monday calls for a partly sunny sky with a high near 71 degrees. Heavy cloud cover is expected to move in overnight, along with a 60 percent chance for rain and a low around 58, according to the National Weather Service.

Grab an umbrella for Tuesday. There is an 80 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms. The high should be near 67. There is a 40 percent chance that the rain will continue into the night, with a low temperature around 48 degrees.

Sunshine is expected to return Wednesday, when the forecast calls for a partly sunny sky, a high near 62 and a low around 46.

Look for more sunshine Thursday and Friday, with highs in the mid-60s and lows approaching 50.

The weekend should be clear and sunny with a high Saturday near 69 and near 72 Sunday.
