One person dead, another seriously injured in Rowan County collision

One person was airlifted from the scene of a Rowan County crash and another person died early Saturday after a head-on collision on Stokes Ferry Road, authorities said.

State troopers said the collision happened near Trexler Road about 7:30 a.m.

The victim has not been identified, but we were told it was the driver of one of the vehicles.
