Sunshine expected to start the week; rain likely later

Sunshine and temperatures in the 80s should be with us for the early part of the week, with rain moving into the forecast before the weekend.

The forecast for Monday calls for a high that lingers right at 80 and a low about 50, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday’s high is expected to be near 82 with a low about 64.

The warming trend should continue Wednesday, when the high should be near 86 and the low around 65. There is a 20 percent chance for showers or thunderstorms, increasing to 30 percent overnight.

Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms. The high is expected to be about 84 and the low around 64.

Sunshine should return Friday, which is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 84 and a low near 61.

Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 79. For Saturday night the forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and a low around 62.

The chance for showers increases to 60 percent Sunday, with the high around 78.
