Police seek information on whereabouts of assault suspect

Police are looking for a 21-year-old man who removed his electronic monitoring device and faces charges for other crimes.

Juharold Vann is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, interfering with an electronic monitoring device, and damage to property, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Vann cut off his electronic monitor Monday and was last seen near Markland Avenue, near West Boulevard and Old Steele Creek Road in west Charlotte, according to the report.

Vann was court ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pretrial release, the report says. Details about the assault charge were not immediately available.
