A 23-year-old man died when a Norfolk Southern train hit him just south of Market Street in Cramerton Monday night, police said. Oscar Aleman of Cramerton was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 23-year-old man died when a Norfolk Southern train hit him just south of Market Street in Cramerton Monday night, police said.

Oscar Aleman of Cramerton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aleman was hit shortly before 8 p.m.

Police said they are still investigating why Aleman was on the tracks.
