Flooding closes 2 lanes on outbound Independence Boulevard
Two of three outbound lanes on Independence Boulevard were closed near Conference Drive due to flooding Tuesday morning.
One of the lanes reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
Also shortly before 8 a.m., power lines were reported down at West Sixth and North Graham streets because of a hit-and-run wreck. A witness told police that a 17-year-old had stolen the car, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
Wrecks also were reported on Providence Road at Folger Drive, on East W.T. Harris Boulevard at Grier Road and on West Sugar Creek Road at West W.T. Harris Boulevard.
