Showers, cool temperatures expected through weekend
A wet week is in the forecast, following what should be a gorgeous day Monday.
Look for a partly sunny sky on Monday, a high near 72 degrees and a low around 58. The first chance for showers is expected after 9 p.m., when a 40 percent chance of rain is in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance for showers or thunderstorms increases to 60 percent Tuesday, with one-tenth to one-quarter inch of precipitation possible. The day should be warmer, with a high near 77. The low should be around 63, with a 50 percent chance for showers overnight.
Wednesday is likely to be the warmest day of the week, with a high close to 82 and a low of about 61. A 60 percent chance of showers is in the forecast, with one-tenth of an inch or more rain possible, mainly after 9 a.m.
We’ll likely see temperatures drop back into the 70s beginning Thursday, with a high near 73 and a low around 59. There is a 40 percent chance of showers during the day and 30 percent at night, mostly before 9 p.m.
Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and a high of 76. The low should be around 61 with a 50 percent chance for showers overnight.
The pattern of clouds, cool temperatures and showers is expected to continue into the weekend. Saturday’s forecast calls for a mostly cloudy sky, a high near 74 and a 60 percent chance for showers. The low is expected for be around 61, accompanied by a 50 percent chance for rain.
Similar conditions are in the forecast for Sunday. The high is expected to reach about 74 with a mostly cloudy sky. The chance for showers is 50 percent.
