A wreck involving at least two tractor trailers shut down Highway 601 in both directions intermittently early Monday north of Pageland, S.C.

The wreck happened around 4:45 a.m. in the 3300 block of Highway 601 north. Expect delays in the area through the morning commute.

Investigators say one tractor-trailer was headed northbound and the other was headed southbound when the two collided, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.

Multiple EMS units responded to the scene, but no one was seriously injured.

There's no word on what caused the cras.h or when officials expect to have the roadway reopened.
