A change taking effect at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Monday could makes lines move faster at security checkpoints.

TSA will move priority lanes from Checkpoint C to Checkpoint D, while Pre-Check lines will move from Checkpoint E to Checkpoint D.

Checkpoint B will remain unchanged, airport officials say. Agents will be on hand to assist and prepare passengers for the checkpoint screening process.

The lines opened at 4 a.m., according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.

"This will allow us to serve our priority customers in a separate area while trying to help alleviate some of the congestion caused by TSA lines near our main ticket counters," American Airlines said of the change.
