Memorial service Sunday for Chester, S.C., volunteer firefighter Adam Swygart

A memorial service for a volunteer fireman from Chester, S.C., is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday.

The service for Adam Ryan Swygart is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at Westside Baptist Church, 523 Rose St. in Chester.

Swygart was killed in a crash Thursday on U.S. Highway 97. Swygart was a volunteer firefighter for the City of Chester Fire Department, the South Chester Fire Department and the Blackstock Fire Department, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
