Charlotte traffic: Wreck hurls plate glass windows across I-77 northbound

Interstate 77 northbound backed up from the Clanton Road exit for hours Wednesday morning after a truck carrying plate glass windows was involved in an injury wreck, hurling glass across the three lanes.

The wreck happened about 5:30 a.m., and the right lane was scheduled to remain closed until noon as the debris cleanup continued.

Use South Tryon Street and South Boulevard as alternates.
