Local vet, who found critical note on her car, will be honored
Harris Teeter will honor the local Navy veteran who received a critical note after parking in a reserved veteran’s space earlier this week.
Rebecca Hayes found a negative note on her car after parking in the Harris Teeter’s “Reserved Veteran Parking” during a shopping trip earlier this week.
The president of the United Service Organization N.C., a military support organization, will join Harris Teeter in honoring Hayes for her service with a coining ceremony, according to the company’s spokeswoman. She also said Harris Teeter will recognize the incident by giving her a gift card to the grocery store.
The ceremony will take place Friday at the Coddle Creek Market Harris Teeter in Concord at 4:30 p.m.
