Check out this huge alligator spotted crossing the road in Topsail

Photos of a huge alligator crossing the road in front of a McDonald’s sign are circulating on Facebook, and turns out that alligator was stopping traffic in the Topsail Beach area.

Topsail Online Gazette shared the photo of the gator and said it was seen crossing the road in Sneads Ferry. Animal control was called to help out, the Gazette said. A comment on the Facebook post said the alligator has been relocated.

The post has been shared more than 11,000 times on Facebook.
