Ride free shuttle from uptown to Paralympic Trials

The Charlotte Area Transit System is providing free Gold Rush shuttle service from uptown to the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials at Johnson C. Smith University.

About 400 athletes with disabilities from around the country are registered to compete in the Team Trials through Saturday.

CATS will operate the service Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the track and field venue at Johnson C. Smith and the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn hotels on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

On Thursday and Friday, the shuttle will operate every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every 30 minutes from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the shuttle will run every 30 minutes from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
