Firearms seized from SC home after people pose with guns on social media
Dozens of firearms were seized from a Pageland home after three people were seen posing with guns in a "reckless manner" on social media, Pageland police say.
Officers received a tip from a concerned person who saw the post. The pictures were reportedly taken at a residence, in a vehicle and at other locations.
Police executed a search warrant at the home of Brent Nicholson, who was arrested last year in connection to possessing between 7,000 and 10,000 stolen guns.
This past weekend was the Pageland Watermelon Festival, and due to public safety, Pageland police say they executed the search warrant at the Nicholson residence after Brent Nicholson's son was identified as one of the three suspects.
A total of 40 guns were seized at the residence. Investigators are looking to see if they were stolen or owned legally.
Two of three people in the pictures, 18-year-old James Wade Nicholson and 18-year-old Cameron McKinney, were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The minor, the third person in the pictures, was not charged.
Brent Nicholson was not charged in connection with this incident. He owns the property and is out on bond for the previous charges, police say. \
