A man was found shot to death in woods behind an apartment playground in Salisbury Friday morning, and police have now identified the victim as Reggie Jasmond Burke, 30.
Salisbury police were called to the shooting around 8:30 a.m. at the Zion Hills Apartments on Standish Street.
The man's body was found after a witness told officers the direction they heard the gunshots coming from, the Salisbury police chief said.
"They were checking the area based on the information provided related to the shots fired call and when they did so they found the male victim who was already deceased," said Salisbury Police Chief Jerry Stokes. "We're still trying to solidify a description of the suspects and once we get that we will for sure provide that information."

The body was found in woods behind the apartment complex near a path that runs from the Linn Lane area.
Several residents said they were frightened that something like this could happen just a few yards behind a playground where many children play during the summer.
"Seeing what's going on here, kids could have been out here early this morning and it could have hit one of them," said Ambria Hawkins, a young mother who lives at Zion Hills. "It's very scary."
The Salisbury Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide.
Officers are going door-to-door looking for potential witnesses.
