Charlotte will resurface parts of Idlewild Road and Harrisburg Road in August

Expect congestion and delays when parts of Idewild Road and Harrisburg Road are resurfaced in August, according to the Charlotte Department of Transportation. CATS service also will be affected.

Idlewild Road from East W.T. Harris Boulevard to Lawyers Road is scheduled to be resurfaced starting Thursday. Harrisburg Road from Albemarle Road to Arbor Lane resurfacing is expected to begin Aug. 12. Work will be done 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The city has not said how long the projects could last.
