Gaston County man charged with assaulting baby during fight

A Dallas, N.C., man was arrested early Wednesday on charges he assaulted a baby while in an altercation with two women, according to the Gaston Gazette.

Police say 25-year-old Justin Allan Prine was intoxicated and disruptive when he threatened and cursed at one woman and tried to attack another Tuesday, the Gazette reported. A table flipped over during the altercation and struck a 1-year-old girl.

Prine was arrested at a magistrate’s office, after he followed the two women as they were trying to report the incident to authorities, police told the Gazette. Prine was also charged with two counts of assault on a female, being intoxicated and disruptive and second-degree trespassing, the Gazette reported.
