Mount Holly Road closed at Pine Island Drive during rush hour
Mount Holly Road at Pine Island Drive in west Mecklenburg will be closed during rush hour in both directions because of a serious wreck, police said.
Use Brookshire Boulevard, exit 16, to Mount Holly-Huntersville Road as a detour.
The wreck happened at about 4:45 p.m., and state highway officials said it could take until 6:45 p.m. to clear the scene.
The wreck involved a dump truck and another vehicle, police said.
