Father reportedly forgot baby in car while he shopped at Lowe’s
A father is accused of leaving his 10-month-old baby in an unlocked car while he shopped at a Salisbury Lowe’s Sunday afternoon, reports the Observer’s news partner, WBTV.
Salisbury police got a call around 4:45 p.m. Sunday that a baby was inside a car in the lot off of Faith Road. Officers arrived and went inside the store, where they found the manager holding the 10-month-old baby, WBTV reports.
The manager said a customer notified them that a baby was in a car with the windows rolled up. The manager went out to the car, which was unlocked, and took the baby out, according to police.
Officers found the dad inside the store, where he reportedly admitted forgetting the baby was in the car. The father could face charges of child abuse or neglect, WBTV reports. The child was not injured, police told WBTV.
