Charlotte man beat 3-year-old, gets 19 years in prison

A Charlotte child abuser was sentenced to at least 19 years in prison after admitting he beat a 3-year-old.

Corey McCree, 35, pleaded guilty recently to child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.

McCree entered his plea mid-trial, after prosecutors presented their evidence against him in Mecklenburg County Superior Court.
