Repeat sex offender receives 50-to-70-year sentence in Union County

A repeat sex offender was sentenced to between 50 and 70 years in prison after his conviction in Union County court this week on charges of abusing a girl over seven years.

Willie Hubert Duboise, 54, was convicted Thursday of first-degree rape, first-degree sex offense with a child, and six counts of indecent liberties with a child, Union County District Attorney Trey Robison said.

Duboise began molesting his girlfriend’s daughter in 2005 when the child was 5.

The girl eventually told a friend about the abuse, and Duboise was arrested in September 2013. Adam Bell
