Same man suspected in 3 armed robberies of pharmacies in Concord and Kannapolis

The same man is suspected of committing three armed robberies at pharmacies in Concord and Kannapolis in October, police said.

The Walgreens pharmacy at 5230 Poplar Tent Road in Concord was robbed on Oct. 14 and the Rite Aid pharmacy at 3645 Concord Parkway South in Concord on Oct. 28. On Oct. 31, the Walgreens at 1310 S. Cannon Blvd. in Kannapolis was robbed.

Police said the robber approached workers at the pharmacy counters, lifted his shirt to show a handgun in his waistband and demanded narcotics.

The man is thin, white and about 5-feet-9-inches tall, with dirty blonde hair. The robber wore a toboggan or skull cap and drove from the pharmacies in a possibly four-door gold or champagne Mercedes.
