Pair arrested in 6 Charlotte pharmacy robberies

Two Charlotte men are accused of committing armed robberies at six Charlotte pharmacies since November.

Jamir Montegut, 22, and Javonne Carter, 34, were jailed early Saturday on six counts each of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The pair are charged in connection with robberies at Family Care in the 10000 block of University City Boulevard on Nov. 8, Kaitlyn’s Pharmacy in the 9100 block of South Tryon Street on Nov. 15, Dilworth Drug and Wellness Center in the 1300 block of East Boulevard on Nov. 23, A2Z Health Mart Pharmacy in the 1400 block of Archdale Drive and Star Bright Pharmacy in the 200 block of Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, both Dec. 1, and CVS in the 8400 block of Steele Creek Road on Dec. 7.
