Charlotte man charged in robbery and attempted robberies
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested a man in a robbery and two attempted robberies of West Trade Street businesses within minutes of each other on Tuesday.
Clinton Perry, 51, of Charlotte was charged Wednesday with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was jailed on $37,500 bail.
The holdups happened at a Two Way Stop convenience store, a Church’s Chicken and a Family Dollar. Police haven’t disclosed what type of weapon was used.
