3 arrested in theft at Denver sub shop on NC 73
Lincoln County sheriff’s detectives have arrested three people in a July break-in and larceny at the Jersey Mike’s at 7260 N.C. 73 in Denver, including a former manager at the sub shop.
Bradley Dane Cox, 23, of Maiden, a former night-shift manager at the shop, was charged this week with conspiracy, larceny by servant and possession of stolen goods. He is free on $7,500 bail.
Also arrested were Joseph Michael Justus, 22, of Lincolnton, and Kyle Michael McCutchan, 21, of Stanley, each on charges of conspiracy, accessory after the fact of a felony and possession of stolen goods. Justus is free on $5,000 bail. McCutchan was jailed on $5,000 bail.
Sheriff’s Detective Frank Runyon said the restaurant’s back door handle and lock were broken to make it appear a break-in had occurred.
