Lincoln County sheriff’s investigators arrested two men and a woman in separate incidents during a narcotics surveillance operation this week.

Investigators stationed near a business north of High Shoals Tuesday night said they ended up pursuing a vehicle to Salem Church and Philadelphia Church roads after it failed to stop when they activated their lights and sirens.

Passenger James Frank McKinstry, 35, of Gastonia, was charged with felony trafficking cocaine and misdemeanor resist, delay and obstruct a public officer. He was jailed on $60,000 bail.

Driver Crystal Hunter Knight, 34, of Gastonia, was charged with trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and failure to stop for a siren. She was jailed on $50,000 bail.

On Wednesday night, narcotics investigators said, a Bessemer City man led them on a brief chase before the car was stopped near High Shoals City Hall.

Justin Dontavias Coleman, 27, was charged with felony trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, speeding to elude arrest and other traffic violations. He is free on $100,000 bail.

The street value of crack cocaine seized during that stop is up to $10,000, investigators said.
