Man wearing Darth Vader mask robs Pineville credit union

Pineville police are searching for a man who wore a Darth Vader costume mask and pointed a long gun at a teller at the State Employees Credit Union at 9007 Pineville-Matthews Road on Monday morning.

The man entered the credit union about 11:45 a.m., demanded money and then left in a four-door gray Chevrolet Suburban SUV, police said. No one was injured.

Witnesses described the robber as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, of unknown weight and wearing all dark clothing, including the mask.
