Arrest made in Salisbury fatal shooting
Salisbury Police on Wednesday arrested a man in Saturday night’s fatal shooting Timothy Lee Grady.
Grady, 34, was shot at the apartment of suspect Frankie Eugene Cox Jr. at 503 N. Ellis St. Grady lived in Greensboro and knew Cox, police reported.
On Wednesday, police said they received information that Cox was in the area of the 900 block of East Lafayette Street. Salisbury Police’s Special Response Team and criminal investigators, along with agents from the State Bureau of Investigations staged in the area and surrounded the apartments.
Cox left an apartment voluntarily and was taken into custody.
Saturday night, police got a call reporting shots fired at Cox’s apartment. When they arrived at 11:12 p.m. they found Grady dead.
Cox, 31 was served with a murder warrant and was jailed without bail. His first court appearance is scheduled for June 12.
