Cherryville mother wanted on charges of child abuse

Gaston County police are searching for a Cherryville woman accused of abusing her 14-month-old toddler.

Taylor Rainer Wilhelm is wanted on charges of felony child abuse inflicting serious physical injury and misdemeanor contributing to the abuse of a juvenile.

Police previously arrested Matthew Jenkins of Bessemer City, with whom Wilhelm and the toddler were living, and charged him with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and misdemeanor assault on a child under 12.
