One injured in Charlotte drive-by shooting
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in finding a car from which shots were fired on Timbertop Lane in east Charlotte Saturday morning. One bullet struck a woman in the foot as she sat on her porch about 10:30 a.m., police said.
The victim was taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The front passenger in the four-door car fired several shots at the home. At least one round went into the house, police said.
Police released pictures of the car, which has black wheels. Anyone with information about the shooter’s identity or the car is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
