A student suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Tuckaseegee Road outside West Mecklenburg High School on Wednesday morning, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesman said.
WBTV, the Observer’s news partner, said a 16-year-old student was struck.
Medic reported taking one patient from the scene to the hospital.
The student’s mother is with the student, CMS spokesman Brian Hacker said.
The student was struck during student arrival time at the school, Hacker said.
The incident happened about 6:50 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg police reported, although no further details were immediately available. The school is in the 7400 block of Tuckaseegee Road.
