Mooresville teen faces 20 drug-related charges in Iredell County
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said it has charged an 18-year-old Mooresville man with 20 drug-related charges following an investigation that lasted weeks.
Griffin C. Murray was charged in the case, authorities said, and a Catawba County juvenile who had been reported missing has charges pending against him.
The sheriff’s office said it had been investigating reports of someone selling prescription drugs and high-grade marijuana in the Brawley School Road area of Mooresville.
A surveillance operation took weeks to identify the suspect. Undercover officers made numerous buys of hydrocodone, Xanax and marijuana from the suspect, the sheriff’s office said.
On Tuesday, Murray and the Catawba juvenile were taken into custody, authorities said.
