Arrests made in Lincoln embezzlement and forgery cases

Lincoln County sheriff’s investigators made arrests in two unrelated embezzlement and forgery cases this week.

In the first case, Devon Eugene Reedy, 21, of Lincolnton was charged with embezzling from his former employer, Lincoln Cleaning Services, after a company credit card was used fraudulently to make $294.90 in purchases.

Reedy was jailed on $9,000 bail on two felony counts of embezzlement.

In the second incident, a Lincoln County man reported Monday that his ex-wife had fraudulently cashed a $566.57 check sent to him by Blue Cross-Blue Shield.

Kimberly Dawn Lail, 41, of Lincolnton was charged with felony uttering a forged instrument. She is free on a $5,000 bail.
