Arrests made after man and woman robbed at gunpoint inside home

Two juvenile suspects were arrested after a home break-in and robbery Saturday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

A man and a woman were inside the north Charlotte home when the suspects broke in and demanded money, police said. They were armed.

The man was hit in the head with a pistol, and his cell phone was stolen, according to CMPD. The woman was forced to the ground, police said, and she hit her head on the floor.

The suspects ran away from the house on Auten Road, toward Grass Lane. CMPD said they were arrested during the subsequent investigation and did not give more detail on the timing.

The suspects’ names will not be released due to their ages. Both were taken to a juvenile detention facility, police said.
