Shots fired in Charlotte Waffle House; no one hit

Shots were fired during an attempted robbery of a Waffle House restaurant in the University City area Sunday night, but no one was injured.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and MEDIC were at the Waffle House, on Stetson Drive, off North Tryon Street, late Sunday.

They responded to the restaurant just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police said two men came into the restaurant and fired shots. No one was hit by the bullets but, police said, one person was hurt by ducking from the gunfire.

Police were looking for a silver SUV with a Georgia license plate.
